Kartopu Lamb Fattening Feed
Feed For Sheep and Goat
Net: 50kg
Kartopu Lamb Fattening Feed is a highly palatable and digestible feed, suitable for lambs from 7 days of age throughout the fattening period.
It is formulated to prevent urinary stone formation, support rapid live weight gain, and provide a rich vitamin and mineral content.
Thanks to its balanced formulation, it can be safely used until lambs reach slaughter weight, without causing digestive problems.
Usage
From 7 days of age, lambs should be fed with Kartopu Lamb Starter Feed and have free access to clean water at all times.
Kartopu Lamb Fattening Feed can be used throughout the entire lamb fattening period, and it can also serve as a starter feed.
This feed should be available to lambs freely 24 hours a day until slaughter. It should not be given once per day in bulk.
Instead, it should be offered 3–6 times per day in fresh portions. If the full daily requirement is given at once, lambs will continuously play with it, causing dust formation, reduced intake, slower daily live weight gain, and delayed reaching of slaughter weight.
Lambs must always have clean, lukewarm water available 24 hours a day, and during this stage they should also be allowed to nurse freely from their mothers.
As roughage, 1.5–2 cm chopped straw or high-quality leafy alfalfa can be introduced alongside the feed, or offered freely after lambs reach 5 weeks of age.
Lambs can be allowed to graze after the first month.
Flocks should be grazed separately from ewes in groups of around 150–200 lambs.
For lambs born in winter, when grazing is not possible, they should be provided with good-quality hay or alfalfa hay.
