Egg Chick Feed
Feed for Poultry
Net: 50kg
Layer chick feed is a type of feed specially formulated for chicks that will be raised as laying hens during their early life stages (generally between 0–8 weeks). This feed is designed to support healthy growth, strong bone development, and to prepare them for a productive laying period in the future.
Usage
“It is a feed given to commercial layer chicks coming from hatcheries, from the 1st day when they are placed in the poultry houses until the 6th week. Depending on housing conditions and rearing methods, it can be fed up to the 8th week during the chick period. A high-quality chick feed provided between day one and week six is directly related to the high performance that hens will exhibit in later stages of their lives. For this reason, in order to help our producers achieve maximum performance, Beşyem Layer Chick Feed is formulated based on the catalog values of each breed.
Why Egg Chick Feed?
Before the chicks arrive at the poultry house, cages, brooding houses, and all equipment to be used must be cleaned and disinfected.
Poultry feeders should be placed in position, and additional chick feeders should be provided.
Depending on the season, start heating the poultry house 2 to 24 hours before the chicks arrive.
The temperature should be maintained at 29–32 °C in cage systems and 32–35 °C in floor brooding.
For floor rearing, quality materials such as rice hulls, wood shavings, or straw should be spread on the floor, with a litter thickness of at least 5–8 cm. Chicks should be evenly distributed within the poultry house. They should first be given access to water, and the drinking water temperature should be 18–20 °C. To encourage chicks to start feeding, feed should be placed on papers spread on the floor during the first week.
